Accra, Ghana November 26th, 2025 — CSquared, a pan-African technology company committed to digitally connecting Africa through open-access broadband infrastructure, proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone through its Women@ Ghana Mentorship Initiative, as one of the mentees from St. Mary’s Senior High School has successfully graduated from medical school at the University of Cape Coast (UCC).

This achievement exemplifies the transformative impact of the Mentorship Program, launched as part of the group’s ongoing commitment to empowering women and girls. The Women@, a dynamic network of women within CSquared, champions initiatives that celebrate and empower women through International Women’s Day, Mother’s Day, and mentorship programs that nurture the next generation of female leaders.

Three years ago, as part of their mentorship outreach, the Women@ Ghana Chapter engaged a group of female students at St. Mary’s Senior High School by introducing them to their careers at CSquared and what a typical day looks like. Through the mentorship program, the students were provided ongoing encouragement and professional guidance through one-on-one mentor pairings that provided knowledge sharing and growth opportunities in career development, leadership, life skills, and employment entry-level readiness. The students were also taken on a day trip to the CSquared office to showcase the work they do and inspire the students’ career aspirations. This month, one of those mentees has emerged as a newly qualified doctor, an inspiring example of how mentorship, dedication, and opportunity can shape a young woman’s future.

“When I joined the mentorship programme years ago, I was a young girl who doubted whether a career in medicine was within my reach. My mentor quickly recognized that uncertainty, providing guidance and genuine care that helped me see what is possible. Her example in both her career and personal life was instrumental,” she said. “Now that I am a newly qualified doctor, I am deeply grateful for the women who believed in me, and I hope to one day mentor young girls with the same sincerity and encouragement that shaped my own journey.”

“We are incredibly proud to have been part of this inspiring journey,” said Estelle Akofio-Sowah, CSquared’s Regional Director for West Africa & champion of the Women@ Ghana Chapter. “This moment fuels our resolve to support many more young women in achieving their dreams and stepping into their roles as future leaders and change-makers across the continent.”

The success of this mentee reflects the VIM Ladies’ ongoing mission to empower women through mentorship, leadership development, and personal growth, while embodying the group’s vision to inspire and create opportunities for women to excel in every field.
